Contact Impact Legal Car Accident Attorneys

Updated November 2026

You’re here because something happened, and you need a straight answer about what to do next. Good. That’s what this page is for. Call (602) 345-1818 and you’ll reach a real person, day or night. The free case review is a conversation, not a sales pitch. We’ll listen to what happened, tell you whether you have a claim worth pursuing, and explain what your options look like. There’s no obligation to hire us. The lead attorney, Jared J. Pehrson, personally handles the cases we take on, so the person who answers your questions is the same person who’d work the file. Read more about our firm if you want context first.

Free case review. No attorney’s fees unless we recover (case-cost and fee terms are spelled out in the written fee agreement we’d review with you).

What happens when you call

People tell us the call felt different than they expected. Here’s the actual sequence:

  1. A person picks up. Not a menu tree. Not a robot. After hours, a live answering service takes the basics and pages on-call staff for anything urgent.
  2. We ask a few questions. When did it happen, where, were you hurt, did police respond, have you talked to insurance yet. Maybe five minutes.
  3. You get a real answer. If there’s a viable claim, we say so and explain why. If there isn’t, we say that too, and point you somewhere useful. No pressure either way.
  4. If it’s a fit, we schedule a free case review with Jared. Phone, video, or in person, your call. We can usually do it the same day or the next business day.

No “intake-only” handoffs. The attorney evaluating your case is the attorney who’d work it.

What to have ready (if you have it)

You do not need to have everything below to call us. Most people don’t. Bring what you have:

  • Police report or report number (here’s how to get a car accident report in Phoenix if you don’t have one yet)
  • The other driver’s name, insurance carrier, and policy number if available
  • Your own auto insurance declarations page so we can see your UM/UIM and MedPay limits
  • Photos of the scene, vehicles, and any visible injuries
  • Names and contact info for any witnesses
  • Medical records, ER discharge papers, or a list of providers you’ve seen
  • Anything in writing the other driver’s insurer has sent you (letter, settlement offer, request for recorded statement)

One thing to know up front: you are not required to give the other driver’s insurance company a recorded statement. They’ll often ask within the first 48 hours. Talk to us before you talk to their adjuster.

Why people call sooner rather than later

Two deadlines matter, and they’re shorter than people assume.

Arizona personal injury claims have a 2-year statute of limitations under A.R.S. § 12-542, running from the date of the injury. New Mexico is 3 years (NMSA § 37-1-8). That sounds like plenty of time. It isn’t, because the work of building a claim (medical documentation, liability proof, expert review) takes months.

Claims against a city, county, or state entity in Arizona require notice within 180 days under A.R.S. § 12-821.01. Miss that window and the claim is generally barred regardless of how strong it is. New Mexico’s tort claims notice window is 90 days. If a government vehicle, road defect, or municipal employee was involved, call right away.

Meet Jared J. Pehrson

Jared founded Impact Legal Car Accident Attorneys to do personal injury work the way he thought it should be done: smaller caseload, attorney attention on every file, no factory-floor intake pipeline. He’s licensed in Arizona and New Mexico and has handled hundreds of car accident, truck, motorcycle, and wrongful death matters across both states.

Where we serve

We work Phoenix car accident claims and broader personal injury matters throughout the Phoenix metro area, including Phoenix, Mesa, Scottsdale, Tempe, Chandler, Glendale, Peoria, Gilbert, Surprise, and Avondale. See the full list of areas we serve in the Phoenix metro.

We also represent clients in Albuquerque and across New Mexico. If you’re a New Mexico resident or your accident happened there, the rules are different (NM is a tort state with a 3-year limitations period) and we handle the case from that side.

Practice focus: car accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, pedestrian and bicycle injuries, rideshare crashes, wrongful death, and dog bites.

Languages: English and Spanish.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to talk to you?

Nothing. The case review is free. If we take the case, we work on a contingency fee, which means no attorney’s fees unless we recover money for you. Specific case-cost terms are laid out in the written fee agreement before you sign anything.

How fast will I hear back?

If you call (602) 345-1818, you reach a person now. If you fill out the form or email, we respond within one business day, usually faster.

What if I need to call after hours or on the weekend?

Phones are answered 24/7. Urgent matters get paged through to on-call staff. Routine matters get scheduled for the next business day.

Should I do anything before I call?

Don’t give a recorded statement to the other driver’s insurance company. Don’t sign any release or settlement document they’ve sent. Get medical attention if you haven’t yet. Save everything (photos, texts, letters, names of witnesses). Then call.
