TSLBack to the film room. Tonight. The self checkout. One machine. One human. And a light that turns red. Roll it.

TSLThe self checkout. You are now the cashier. Unpaid. Untrained. And on camera. Twelve item limit. Everybody has fifteen.

TSLUnexpected item in bagging area. The item was a lemon. The machine has called for backup.

TSLYou are now a suspect. In a store. That you are trying to give money to.

TSLThe Reasonable Man. Twelve items. Twelve item limit. He counted. In the aisle. Before he got in line. Nobody checked. He counted anyway.

TSLGreen light. Receipt in hand. He shows it to the man at the door. Nobody asked. He shows it anyway.

TSLShopkeeper's privilege. A store can stop you. If it reasonably thinks you are stealing. For a reasonable time. In a reasonable way. The machine is not reasonable.
